Pictures taken in Valchiavenna a few weeks ago. This is the area where I was born and where I grew up.

It is always a pleasure to spend time in Vienna. The city is beautiful, clean and always projected into the future.

This was my first time in Budapest and I was impressed by the incredible amount of things to see.

This is the party bus as they see it in Budapest. Eight people are paddling and drinking beer at the same time… very good method to drink and burn the booze calories right away. One man behind the steering wheel… not sure if he is drinking. And if you don’t like the idea, you can always enjoy your beer sitting somewhere, indoor or outdoor. Ah freedom…

While traveling random things can happen. in a sequence of events… we found ourselves attending the funeral of the last heir of the Habsburg dynasty (Otto von Habsburg) in Vienna inside of the st Stephen’s cathedral… it was truly a unique experience!!

After waiting in line for the tickets (free for EU citizens) outside the parking lot, I finally gained access to the famous gate X of the Hungarian Parliament Building. Gate X can be accessed on the back of the building and only by a few visitors at a time. When a person comes out a person can go in. Remember, you need a valid ID for each ticket you want to purchase, otherwise you will be waiting one hour (or more) under the sun to experience rejection. The tickets  are valid for a selected guided tour of the building. Tours are available in several languages. If your language of choice is sold out you can always pick another option. You can buy tickets for the same day only and it is not rare for the tours to be sold out. Gate X opens at 8am. If you have more than one hour wait for the beginning of your tour, I would suggest to visit the St. Stephen’s Basilica just a few minutes away. The tour of the Parliament Building wont last long but it is worth the wait, the interior of the building is spectacular.

Galicia is the region of Spain right above Portugal. For those who love good food and eating fish it is really the way to go. In the picture below octopus, empanada and peppers of Padron.

Antoni Gaudí is the kind of man who can change the image of an entire city: Barcelona.

For some reasons, it reminded me of Genova (Italy) with lots more colorful tiles!!!

Barcelona is a vibrant city on the Mediterranean sea. The heart of Catalonia offers several attractions and a nice beach to chill out…
